Step 01
Soil & Planting
Plant in well drained soil in part sun. Avoid hot midday summer sun which can stress your plants and cause leaf scorch.
Step 03
Watering
Water well during summer, particularly during dry spells. Deep watering less frequently is better than light watering every day — it encourages deeper root growth.
Step 02
Protection
Protect from frost and strong winds, especially during the first winter after planting. A sheltered spot or frost cloth can make all the difference.
Step 04
Pruning
Prune after flowering to shape and promote bushy growth. Light pruning regularly is better than hard pruning once a year — it keeps your plants looking their best year round.
